Long-time employee Janice Guldan retired from Heritage Bible College effective May 20, 2010, due to health and family considerations.
Janice first came to Heritage in 1982 when her husband enrolled as a student. She worked part-time for the PFWB Resource Center and the college and later enrolled and earned her associate degree in 1985. In 1986, her family moved to Maryland, but she returned to the college in 1990 and became the librarian in 1991. She finished her studies and earned a bachelor degree in 1993. That degree was followed by a Master of Library Science degree from NC Central University, a Master of Arts in Ministry from American Bible College and Seminary and, in 2006, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with a Minor in Counseling from Beacon University.
Janice has impacted the lives of hundreds of students who have attended Heritage Bible College and has served in many capacities over the years: Librarian for nearly 20 years, Registrar, and Instructor, to name only a few. She has also served as an On-Site Visiting Team member for TRACS, the accrediting association, in assessing other colleges for accreditation or reaffirmation.
The January-February issue of The Messenger, official publication of the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, Inc., featured a tribute to Janice written by former HBC co-worker and friend, Nell Register.
College and PFWB staff honored Janice at a luncheon on June 22. She was presented with a gift from the College and a CD with a collection of photographs spanning her years at Heritage.
Heritage Bible College appreciates the many years of service rendered by Janice Guldan and wishes her many years of a happy and healthy retirement.
